Now released! A complete new tool for CNC programmers! The name of the software is CncWizard and it can with a few clicks create NC code from many different kind of file formats, such as DXF, JPG, BMP, STL etc.

Main functions:

• Create NC code from bitmaps (pictures and images).
• Create NC code from STL files (3D models).
• Create NC code from NC code (backwards postprocessing).
• Create NC code from CamModul files (BEA and RIT).
• Create NC code from DXF files.
• Simulate in 3D.
• Preview of DXF, BMP, JPG, BEA, RIT, STL and DXF in 2D and 3D.
• Create DXF files from pictures and images.

The user can choose between creating NC code in standard ISO or use MicroTechs postprocessors to create the code in machine specific format.

Create NC code from images

A picture or image can be converted to NC code in several ways by using CncWizard. The colors in the picture can be used to create a z-buffer (height map) and then be converted to NC code. The picture can also be converted to lines by the built in vectorizer. The lines then becomes NC code. Here is an example of converting an image in different ways:

Here the image is converted by the function using the height map.
In this way it is easy to create a relief of the image.

This is done by the same function but with "single depth"
activated. Only light colors becomes toolpaths.

Same as above but inverted.

And here we have used the vectorizer.
CncWizard creates toolpaths from the contour lines.

Create NC code from STL files

STL means "stereolithography" and is a common file format to describe 3D objects. These files can be created in for example Rhinoceros 3D or similar. In CncWizard the user can add compensated toolpaths on the models. The compensation is done with a flat or round tip (or uncompensated).

It is also possible to create a sequence of machinings where each can have its own color, this makes it easier to see the sequences.

3D models can be previewed, machines and simulated. The user can zoom and rotate the part even during simulation!

Preview

With CncWizard you can preview your files in a fast and easy way. You browse through your files and folders in the same manner as in Windows Explorer and you see the geometric in the preview window. In this way it is fast and easy to find your drawings, images, nc programs and 3D models. When you find your file you are just a few clicks away from a complete NC program!

Conversion

Toolpaths that you have loaded or created in CncWizard can be scaled, moved and optimized to desired format before you create new code.

Functions for users of MicroTech CamModul

If you are a CamModul user this is also a perfect tool to keep track of your CamModul files. You can easily browse through your files and postprocess a BEA file, create a NC program from a drawing (RIT) or even create NC from a existing program in a new machine format! By using CncWizard you also get the possibility to work with 3D models and images and to postprocess them with your own postprocessor!
